Who is responsible for connected data
SVE Ventures LTD, trading as Chasing Sunsets, is the data controller for the connected account, trip, application and support information described here. Company number: 16822306. Registered office: 2 Lormay Place, Westbury, Brackley, England, NN13 5NJ. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact route below.
Website trips and accounts
The website can process a random anonymous account identifier when one is needed to protect a trip or membership. If you choose to protect an account, it also processes your email address, display name and authentication session through Supabase Auth.
Trip records can include destination, dates, staying area, group size, budget band, interests, member display names, choices and votes. Private invitation codes are used to control access and may be held temporarily in the browser session. They are not public listing data.
Business and partner information
If you submit a service-provider or venue-partner application, Chasing Sunsets processes the information you enter. This can include your name, business contact email, organisation details, website or social profile, source and authority statements, imagery-rights position, evidence reference and notes. Approved account holders may also submit workspace, team and listing proposals for staff review.
Application and workspace information is not treated as verified or published merely because it was submitted. Staff review and separate publication controls apply.
Location
“Near Me” asks for browser location only after you choose it. The website uses the coordinate in the active page to sort map results and does not add it to the Chasing Sunsets product analytics record or trip database. Your browser, operating system or map provider may process the technical location request under its own terms.
Information stored on your iPhone
In version 1 of the iPhone app, your selected mood, trip dates, saved places and My Night plan are stored locally using Apple’s standard app storage. Chasing Sunsets does not receive that local planning information.
Deleting the app removes its local planning data. You can also remove saved places inside the app.
Optional Business pulse and alerts
Existing business account holders can choose to sign in to Business pulse in the iPhone app using the same first-party email and password as their Chasing Sunsets account. The app sends the email address and account authentication data to Supabase to open the account summary. It keeps the refreshable session only in the iPhone Keychain, so it can be removed by signing out on that iPhone. Chasing Sunsets does not store the password in the app.
Business alerts stay off unless an authenticated business user chooses to turn them on and allows notifications in iOS. In that case, Chasing Sunsets stores the Apple push device token, the account identifier, a language/region setting and the alert preference so it can deliver a generic business update. Alert text does not include customer names, enquiry details or other customer-message content. Apple processes the push delivery under its own terms. You can turn alerts off in Business pulse, sign out on the iPhone, or change notification permission in iOS Settings.
Maps, websites and external services
The service uses Supabase for connected authentication and database records, Vercel to deliver the website, Apple MapKit for maps and Google Workspace for email. These providers may process technical or service data needed to perform those functions under their own terms. If you open a supplier website, its privacy notice applies to information you provide there.
The iPhone app makes a read-only request to the published Supabase catalogue. Supabase infrastructure can retain request logs containing an IP address, an approximate location derived from that address, user-agent information, the requested route and response diagnostics. Chasing Sunsets uses that technical data only to deliver, secure and diagnose the service. It is not joined to an app account, used for advertising or used to track you across apps or websites.
Support messages
If you email the founding team for support, we receive the information you choose to include. We use it only to answer the request, keep necessary support records and protect the service. We do not sell support information.
Why we use connected information
Chasing Sunsets uses account and trip information to provide the service you request and take steps at your request before providing it. It uses application and workspace information to review and administer a requested business relationship. It uses limited security, audit and support information where necessary for its legitimate interests in protecting the service, preventing misuse, resolving issues and keeping reliable operational records, balanced against the rights of the people involved. Information may also be used where needed to meet a legal obligation.
Optional product analytics relies on your consent and remains off unless you choose “Allow analytics”. You can withdraw that choice at any time through “Privacy choices” without affecting the connected service. Chasing Sunsets does not use consent as the basis for records that must be kept to provide an account, secure the platform or meet a legal obligation.
Optional website analytics
The website asks before using first-party product analytics. If you choose “Allow analytics”, Chasing Sunsets records only allowlisted product events with a random session identifier and coarse environment information. The product analytics record does not contain your email, IP address, device fingerprint or full page URL.
Choosing “Not now” keeps optional analytics off. Your choice is stored in this browser and does not change access to the website. A granted session uses a random identifier held in session storage. Use “Privacy choices” on the main website to review or change the choice. A browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional analytics off.
Payments and advertising
Public customer checkout is not enabled, so Chasing Sunsets does not currently collect customer card details or complete customer ticket payments. Provider subscription Checkout is also unavailable. When enabled after separate notice and testing, Stripe will process checkout language, location needed for eligible local-currency presentation, billing details and payment information under its own privacy terms; Chasing Sunsets will receive payment and subscription records but not full card details.
The current release contains no third-party advertising and Chasing Sunsets does not sell personal information. Live payments, advertising or materially new data uses will require an updated notice before activation.
Retention and your choices
Chasing Sunsets keeps connected records only while they are needed to provide and secure the service, review applications, maintain required audit history, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain uses. Chasing Sunsets may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Withdrawing optional analytics consent does not remove operational records needed for trips, accounts, security or audit.
A confirmed account holder can start deletion at chasingsunsets-ibiza.com/account/delete. The request is acknowledged immediately and the founding team aims to complete identity-verified requests within 30 days. Account profile, saved trip and preference data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised. Security, transaction, dispute, audit-integrity or legally required records may be retained only for the applicable purpose and period, with account identifiers minimised where possible. Chasing Sunsets will explain any retention that affects the request.
International processing and complaints
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, Chasing Sunsets will use an applicable adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguard and assess the transfer before relying on it. You can ask the contact below for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.
Please contact Chasing Sunsets first so the founding team can investigate a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
